Why do we have children?

We all loved children for their loveliness, inquisitiveness and fresh angles to the world. Like this:

Kids imagine and create all the time. They put shoes on the table, or ride the fans as a bicycle. This innate ability, unfortunately, was educated out during their school years. 

I think this is the greatest loss of human intelligence. Without imagination and creativity, how can our children compete against AI in the future world?

If most children are growing out of their creativity, what an advantage it is if yours are not?
